I have no class on Friday (hallelujar, hallelujar), so I will be skipping out of here at lunchtime today to kick off the break a little early!

I am so excited to spend the next week road trippin' to be with my favorite people in the world.

Hey y'all!

Sorry I've been away for awhile! It's been a crazy week so far in preparation for SPRING BREAK! Wahooo finallyyyyyy...I need a good break in the worst way. Sooooo (what's the word?)..tired!

So yes, I've been running around attempting to finish my outline drafts (since SB is so late this year, there's only 3 weeks til finals when I return. eek.), finishing up some clerkship work, and packing/cleaning/organizing.

...since I clearly got nothing done all weekend...

Does anyone seem to experience the magnetic pull of a sunny day?

Me me me me me. 

The weather has been absolutely beautiful, but I've got to learn to stick it out and study big-time in order to finish this crazy semester on good terms.

But that can wait til after the break. :)

So of course I am heading to the pool after Evidence!

The rest of the weekend is looking like great weather too, so it's going to be filled up with:

Running in the Cherry Blossom 10k tomorrow morning with E. (benefiting a ministry for adults with disabilities, yea!)

Cherry Blossom downtown festival tomorrow afternoon with small group gals.

(Not that I can complain about "Winter" since we didn't have much of one. Which is fine by me.)

Sweet Friends and Free Starbucks.

Hey y'all!

This past weekend I ventured to Columbia to run a fun little race and visit with a sweet friend!

Our time was filled with Mexican fare (yummo for life), lots of pillow talk, St. Pat's festivities, shopping, engagement partying, BBQ, and more pillow talk. It was a fabulous time. :)

I can now say I've been to the "famous 5 points", if only to run a few miles and take a picture. :) I didn't run into any gamecock football players, surprisingly! I didn't get there til 7:30am though- must've just missed 'em. :)

Then SB bought me an iced coffee!! Payment for my "trainer" services- yum!

Sunday, I came back early, took a short break, then hopped right back into a car for a fun ATL day trip with Ellie!

Our Bible study had collected medicines and toiletries for her family's housekeeper to take to Honduras for families in need. Also, E needed to exchange some things at JCrew.

But mainly, we just wanted to ride around Buckhead and see our offices and squeal over all of the restaurants.. and shopping... and running spots! We hit up Lenox, where we spotted the lovely Amy Adams in JCrew. Then, E had a Sbucks gift card, so she treated me to skinny toffee nut frappucino. Two free Starbucks drinks in two days? Wahoooo.

Finally,  we found our office buildings (4 blocks apart. squeal.) and headed back to school!

Greetings from another thrilling week at law school! :)

Not much to report from this neck of the woods, but I do have a few randoms for you.

#1 Undergrad Spring Break is over (why we have a different one, I have no idea) so the gym has REOPENED wahoooo. This is big news when working out is your prime entertainment!

#2 I came home today to find some INTERNATIONAL snail mail! Eek! Thank you sweet Little, Lauren! Can't wait for another skype date soon!

#4 I've been on a "trying new foods" kick lately. I consider myself fortunate in that I will eat just about anything you put in front of me (not a good thing sometimes heh), but I was a little apprehensive to try these babies:

But I was wrong! Brussel sprouts are my new FAVE! Buy a bag of the frozen "steamers", pour them onto a cookie sheet, drizzle with EVOO, gahhhhlic, and pepper, bake for 30 minutes- YUMMO. You're welcome.

#5 It was 80 degrees today! My kinda weather! However, Betty has gone from a sleek, sassy, black to... a dusty yellow! Oh at least that means the Cherry Blossom Festival is on its way woooo! For those of you who don't know, Betty is my Yukon. I have a strange obsession/talk to it like it's a real person. We spend a lot of time together, ok?

#6 REALLY looking forward to running in a race on Saturday/St. Pat's with Sarah Beth! Going to be a fun weekend together in Cola Town.

Hey, people!

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was wonderful. And, hey, I even have a pretty good amount of pictures to show for it! Wahoo that's a first ;)

Friday night, I met my beau in ATL and we ventured to Clemtown for a fun weekend with some fun people. We didn't get in til late that night, and we went downtown to meet some friends...where we felt very, very old. We were officially those creepy alumni that we would spot as juniors with our fresh 21yo driver licenses. It was lots of fun either way though. :) Then, realizing we hadn't even eaten dinner, A and I grabbed a pizza and ate it on the "jumpy pillow" on the track while stargazing. Yes, against my better judgment and rules of eating, I scarfed a piece of cheese pizza at 1:30am. And it.was.delicious. Just needed to confess!

Saturday we met up with our parents and tailgated for the baseball game. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day (except for the Tigers losing)!

Oh and you see the precious little orange pail that the chips are in? My mom bought it for me, yeeeea :)

Today, Newspring lovin' was amazing. Pastor P is doing an incredible sermon on being overwhelmed. We also got to hear from two pastors from the UK and Estonia about the churches they have planted (and are now growing!) thanks to help from NS! It was great. Love and miss it!

We made it back to the ATL and just happened to stumble upon an adorable little pizza place, where I ate this delicious salad. Sorry, I just get really excited about craisins/walnuts/gorgonzola atop fresh greens! It was too great not to share.

Baking batches of ham biscuits and sausage balls for the AWLS bake sale benefiting Jay's Hope.

Tonight, is "Casino Night" auction, put on by AWLS and once again benefiting Jay's Hope.

And tomorrow, is CLEMSON BASEBALL!

Mine was spent at home and it was wonderful. :)

Lots of eating and talking and relaxing and...shopping.

Saturday, my mom and I spent the day together!

EdLaw had a meeting and told LOTS of people about the amazing Campus Clubs!

So happy to be volunteering out there later this afternoon :)

Wednesday

Last night, I went to a book club with my sweet friend, Farley. She went to undergrad here and a lot of her friends are still in town and get together once a month. I know, it's precious! We read The Mermaid Chair. It was...eh. Parts of it were interesting, but the main character gets shady on her husband. Like, real shady, Like, oh heyyy another man. Not cool. Luckily the other gals agreed, so we really didn't  talk much about the book! Then they confessed "Book club" was just a cover-up for "Wine night". I like these new girls. :)

Today

Speaking of shady, got called on in Evidence for a sexual misconduct/rape shield case. Ah shucks! For the love!!! I survived though and only blushed 4 times! In my defense, it didn't help that my (male) teacher did his impersonation of a strip strippa, dancing and all, yelling out "I gotta get my kids pampers!"

Oh, lawyer humor!
