He gave us life and made us whole again.

An oldie but goodie for you this morning:

"Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted."
Hebrews 12:3

A Monday List.

1. Saturday breakfast.
I get to live with those forearms.

2. Beautiful Saturday afternoon.
A yard full of pretty irises and the first grilling meal of the season with friends.

3. Weekly food prep.
Onion goggles are my saving grace. If you love onions, but they hate you, you need to invest. Greet your grass-cutting husband at the door in them. Not.

4. Sunday = rain rain rain.
How depressing it would have been to drive, say, 5 hours back to school, on a day like that. So happy those days are gone. Spending the late afternoon exploring is much more fun.

5. Everything-but-the-kitchen sink frittata.
Leftover veggies, eggs, cheese, freshly seasoned cast iron...more cheese. Oh, and fresh basil. A new take on breakfast for dinner.

6. Monday more unpacking and organizing.
Found the jar and rocks from our wedding. Reading the sweet notes and verses from our family and friends for the first time made me oh-so happy. We are so immensely blessed.

7. Chick-fil-A is within walking distance.
Well, in work-out clothes walking distance.
Today was the debut of their new salads, so of course I had to go and celebrate with them.
I used my gift card on the market salad. Please, go walk/drive/fly and get one. I bet your CFA even has a precious person walking around with a pepper mill, too.

8. The majority of my days' highlights revolve around food.
I'm totally ok with that.

Off to check on the pot roast in the crockpot,

"Your WORD is a lamp unto my feet
and a light on my path."
Psalm 119:105

Just Give Me.

Tea Time Thoughts.

"Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:13-18

Weekend Review.

This past weekend, we ventured to Atlanta for a little fun.

9th floor of the W in the heart of Midtown. Glory!

The wedding of two sweet friends from college!

Pretty scenery. Smokin' date.

Really fun, smokin' date.

Cute reception details.

A little FLIP burger before our LAST full week apart.
It's so hard to believe!
I'm so glad to tell "Sunday goodbyes" GOODBYE! :)

Happy Mondays!

She's stealin' your heart, just like a gypsy.

Happy Friday, Y'all!

I was going to do a regular Fun Friday Jams post today, but Blogger is having some issues in Chrome! And well, I'm just not used to using that thing called..um..Internet Explorer?
So, I just have one song for today so that this doesn't take me 4 hours:
Happy Summer-feeling weekend, yay!

Love y'all

Ten on Ten.

Today, on April 10th, I would like to list ten of the greatest aspects of honeymooning in the Dominican Republic:

1. Being in the Dominican Republic.

2. Being Married.

3. Eating whatever you want.
Like Mexican food for breakfast.
While not worrying about fitting into your dress.

4. Being Married.

5. Trying whatever drink you would like to try.
Like a Caribbean sunrise.
While not worrying about fitting into your dress.

6. Being Married.

7. Embracing the awkward solo shots (ahem, while eating whatever you want)
Because, well, there's no one really around to take your picture because it's just you two...

8. ...because you're on your honeymoon...because you're married.

9. Being in the Dominican Republic. Seriously, wow.

10. Being Married.

My point?

Being married to your best friend is well, better than anything anyone could ever tell ya.

Oh, and the Dominican Republic is pretty great, too.

Happy weeks-

From House to Home: Part One.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

This past weekend, my husband (eek) and I did some work in our little home.

It was so fun unpacking boxes together and getting things in place. We still have a lot to do, but are really happy with the progress. Here's a few peeks into our humble abode:

Happy Friday happy hour when A arrived home from work.
Monogrammed cutting board and REAL wine glasses full of pinot noir. Starting to feel like real grownups.

...With a slap of reality while dining with red solo cups and paper plates. Bless it. All the Fiestaware was finishing up in the dishwasher. Isn't the kitchen just precious though?

The downstairs bath, while still struggling, got a new shower curtain, rug, and towels.

The dining room...so many pretty things with no place to be displayed.

The living room is following a bachelor pad-with a girl that visits theme for now.
Excited to get the couch, mirror, and table all moved in. The futon is getting new life as a screen porch swing.

Apron hanger in the kitchen!

Open pantry challenge: accepted.
Baking, food prep, and snack shelves. Let's see how long this lasts before a curtain gets installed. :)

A dream Pottery Barn bed...sans the actual bed.
A will be working on this soon, and don't you worry, those walls are getting painted. :)

And lastly, these beauts. If loving your new HE washer/dryer is wrong, I don't want to be right!

More pictures to come as the walls become less bare and the details come together!

Thanks for reading-

It's April 2nd!

It's national Light it Up BLUE Day! For Autism!

1 in 88 children are on the Autism spectrum. UPDATE for 2014: 1 in every 68 children!

You can {read here} about the Autism Spectrum. As a Special Education major, and an aunt to two children with Autism, this cause is close to my heart.

Let's light it up blue to raise some awareness! :)

You Have Done Wonderful Things.

Last Saturday, I got to walk down the aisle to my best friend in the whole world. In front of God, our family and our friends, we celebrated and vowed our lives to each other.

It was the most worshipful, joyful, emotional, and FUN weekend of my entire life.

I look at this picture this morning and am so overwhelmed. Too many thoughts to write.

I can't wait to share more about it with you all, but for now I just want to say...

"Lord, you are my God
I will exalt you and praise your name
for in perfect faithfulness
you have done wonderful things,
things planned long ago."
Isaiah 25:1

He is risen! We are saved and loved! Have a great day! :)

Ps- Thanks y'all for being patient during my long blogging absence. I've missed you and am excited to start back up as a married gal.

Pps- SA, thank you for choosing me.
